The mobility of workers become a critical factor in the development of industry area. In one side there are the demand side of industries that provides the employment in an area. The demand triggers the mobility of workers from surrounding and internal region to meet the industry need. In other side, the migrant workers will then stay and use the urban infrastructure. It is the challenge of the city that promote the industrial development to fulfil the need of urban infrastructure to the city dwellers of migrant workers. The paper presents the research result of the regional workers mobility connection with the service of urban infrastructure in the context of the industrial development in Semarang regency, Indonesia. The research result shows that the migrant workers are mainly fulfil the formal employment of the industry of the regency. While the locals are more preferred to work in informal sectors and independent business, rather than become industrial workers. The migrant workers settlement is more distributed near to the industry location than the area with better urban infrastructure service. In the context of industrial development, the migrant workers mobility is more sensitive to the industry location than to follow the urban facility and service distribution. The local government needs to considers the raising of migrant workers urban services demand as implication of the labor-intensive industrialization in Semarang Regency, Indonesia Keywords: Workers mobility, urban infrastructure, industrial development
